About griee and these terms

griee helps you organise your own collection and track watching and reading progress. It does not sell, supply or grant access to films, TV episodes, books or streaming subscriptions. Local file features work with files you choose and have the right to use.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If your local law requires permission from a parent or guardian, obtain it before using griee or making a purchase. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@griee.com.

Permission to use the apps

You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use griee on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the rules of the store where you obtained it. The app is licensed, not sold. You may not redistribute, resell or sublicense the app, bypass purchase checks, or interfere with its operation or connected services.

Restrictions do not override rights granted by applicable law, including permitted interoperability or reverse engineering, or the licences of included open-source components. Those components remain governed by their own licences.

Your collection and lawful use

Your notes, lists, ratings and other content remain yours. These terms do not transfer ownership of your collection to the developer. You are responsible for having the rights needed to import, store, display or export files and images you choose.

Do not use griee to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, distribute unlawful material, gain unauthorised access, or abuse third-party APIs. Provider metadata, artwork, trademarks and other third-party materials belong to their respective rights holders; access through griee does not grant a right to republish or commercially exploit them.

Local data, backups and transfers

Your collection is stored on your device. No griee account is required and the developer does not host your collection. Keep independent backups, particularly before importing, restoring, replacing a collection, changing devices or uninstalling. Backups do not include your local media files and are not encrypted by the app.

Optional Dropbox Sync uses your own Dropbox account to transfer collection data. Review the collection and transfer direction before sending or downloading data: restoring or replacing a collection can overwrite local changes. Disconnecting an integration does not delete copies already stored by that provider or on other devices.

Free features and Pro purchases

The app and store listing describe the free features and the features that require Pro. Mobile Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, not a recurring subscription. iOS and Android purchases are separate and do not transfer between those stores. Sync is free on desktop.

The price, currency and any applicable taxes shown by the store at checkout apply. Website prices are references and may differ by region. Apple or Google processes payment and manages the purchase through your store account. Restore purchases using the same store account; access depends on the store confirming your entitlement and may be removed after a refund or revocation.

A one-time purchase does not promise perpetual compatibility with every future device or operating system, or uninterrupted availability of third-party services. This does not reduce the features, support, updates or remedies you are entitled to under the purchase description and applicable law.

Refunds and store terms

For purchase problems or refunds, use the relevant store’s support process or contact info@griee.com. Refund eligibility depends on the store’s rules and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes a mandatory refund, withdrawal right or remedy for faulty or misdescribed digital content.

Apple App Store and Google Play terms also apply to purchases and distribution. For apps obtained through Apple, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies where the store makes it applicable: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms are not a replacement custom Apple EULA.

Third-party services and information

Features may use TMDB, Trakt, IMDb, Open Library, Dropbox or external trailer services. These providers have their own terms, privacy policies, account requirements and service limits. Connecting a Trakt or Dropbox account is optional; you authorise the operations you select in the app and can disconnect the account.

Provider information, ratings, artwork, editions, release dates and availability may be incomplete, incorrect or change. Integrations can be interrupted or changed by their providers. griee does not guarantee their accuracy or continued availability and does not imply endorsement by them. Statutory obligations concerning paid features still apply.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains local storage, requests to providers, optional sync, purchases and support messages: https://griee.com/privacy. Review it before connecting external services or exporting collection data.

Availability, updates and changes

We may release updates to fix problems, improve security or change features. Availability depends on your platform, operating system, permissions and connected services. No promise is made that the website or apps will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Any legally required conformity, security updates and support obligations remain unaffected.

Material changes to these terms will be identified by an updated date and, where required, notice or consent through an appropriate channel. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase. If you stop using griee, export any data you want to keep before removing local app data.

Responsibility and consumer rights

To the extent permitted by law, griee is provided as available without additional promises of fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation or accuracy of third-party content. To that same extent, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of griee.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not exclude liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited. Mandatory consumer guarantees, refund rights and other statutory remedies remain in force. No term requires you to give up protections or access to courts available under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Ending use and contact

You can stop using griee at any time. Permission to use the app may be terminated for a material breach of these terms, subject to any notice, opportunity to remedy and other protections required by law. Termination does not transfer ownership of your content or remove accrued purchase or consumer rights.

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. For support, purchase issues or questions about these terms, write to Kaya Altın at info@griee.com.
